Teak and Steel Sofa by Kay Boeck-Hansen for Fritz Hansen
eBay seller Sugar Barrel Antiques offers up this unique steel and teak sofa that would be a bright addition to an office lobby or lounge:
Part of the hospital series designed in 1969 by Kay Boeck-Hansen this is a remarkable sofa in it’s original sky-blue wool fabric and showing solid teak arm rests and tubular steel construction. Produced by Fritz Hansen A/S out of Denmark. I believe this design was used for hospitals in and around Copenhagen and there were also single arm chairs produced. Measures 58 ½“ wide by 28” deep by 34“ tall and 16” tall to the seat.
