Cavour Writing Desk by Carlo Mollino
He learned that ancient Egyptians decorated their future tombs, and that’s what Mollino did with his 18th century apartment. in 1960, in the hills above Turin, the city he lived in all his life, Mollino acquired a two-story villa (“Villa Zaira”, today called “Casa Mollino”). ... The furniture that Mollino designed were often one-off pieces produced specifically for the client whose house he was decorating, so many of his existing examples of his work are rare today.

My favorite piece in the current offering has to be this Milo Baughman , one of those great desks from an era when the back (with open display shelves) was important as the front (facing the user).

Polaroid SX-70 Film by the Eames
It presents the simple joy of photography and, without hyperbolizing or talking down to its audience, gives a comprehensive explanation of how the camera works. It wasn’t until the end that I learned that it was made by the Eames, but I probably should have known within the first few seconds.

Danish for "La-Z-Boy"
Svelte and refined with wood details where others have overstuffed upholstery, I’d like to think this is what the Danish considered (in the ’50s at least) to be their ideal reclining lounge. I’m not ecstatic about the fabric, but the multi-position recline mechanism and unique woodwork make this a very special chair.
