simplymod is offering another amazing Anri chess set. This one, also by Arthur Elliott, is no less remarkable than the Universum from November, but it’s certainly different. Chunky, stunted forms give the army a whimsical, unmistakably mid-century modern feel. The details on this set are clearly driving up its value, from the felt-footed pieces with contrasting wood inlay to the heavy box with soft flocked lined interior and hinged lid.
