Eames Demetrios Presents Charles and Ray Eames at TED
Eames Demetrios’ talk is a bit stilted and the content is overwhelming but I think this video demonstrates that there was much more to Charles and Ray Eames than furniture, and even more important, there was much more to their design than style.
One can’t really define an “Eames style”. Why? Because they practiced design in the purest sense: they solved the problem through innovation and relentless testing. They let the function of the object determine its form.
