The designer seems to have assumed the intelligence of the user: “no right minded person will stick their fingers in there”. Of course one would have to be sans-children, or incredibly diligent.

I think the color is interesting. Not to frequently that you find a fan of that color. Plus, for some reason, it just looks well built.
